March Snowstorm Drops 1-2 Feet on Region

A view down the street.

Atticus had been out earlier but got too cold too soon and headed back in for warmth. He decided to step outside for a quick shot.

Thor hanging out on top of a pile of snow!

Thor building a tunnel or a fort or a tunnel fort.
Whatever, he's having fun!

Just wanted to show how deep the snow was/is. Murphy and Thornton on top of the plowed mound in front of our house between the sidewalk and the street.

Murphy enjoying a little fun in the snow.
Once the sun came out it was quite a beautiful day!

Trinity got a new bike for her birthday two days before.
She really, really wanted to ride it! So she did!

The birthday girl was very happy with her purple bike.

I am too tired to write much because overnight we were hit with a very large snowstorm. It was somewhat unexpected, at least the large amounts that we got were not exactly forecast. Therefore I was up around 345am. That's when the phone calls starting coming in regarding what our plans were for county operations. We declared state of emergency until 11am then extended to 5pm. All county operations were closed all day. Which was a good thing because it took us almost all day to dig out! The snowblower was buried at the back of the garage of course and the only way to get it out was to move the cars. But mind you, the end of the driveway was a wall of snow about three feet high. I am not exaggerating...maybe a little but it was pretty high and the snow was heavy! Thank God for my neighbor Carol. She used her snowblower to clear the end of our driveway so that I could back the cars out and reach our snowblower. Snowblowers are awesome but they still take quite a bit of muscle to move about. My back is sore! Kids had a blast playing in the snow in the afternoon. The above are some of the scenes from them trying to build forts in our front yard.
