The Real Football Season Begins

#57 Thor Fauci arriving at his first game...all smiles!

Coach(assistant) Fauci arriving as well and getting items out of the van
in preparation of opening day of football season.

Love this picture! The boys before the big game.

Once again, Thor and his biggest fans + one dog!

Thor taking a break. It was a tough day!

Today was Thornton's first football game of the 2009 season. It was a beautiful day! Partly sunny skies with highs in the 70's. Perfect weather for football. Thor looked so handsome in his new yellow jersey. And Michael is assistant coaching this year. How did they do? Well let's just say it was an inauspicious start but we are hoping for better things to come. After all it's all about learning at this point isn't it? Michael says Thor did really well on defense and offense. He is still on the shorter side...some of these kids are quite large. He is in the 9,10 and 11 year old division and he is only 9. Regardless, we had a wonderful day outside. Got a little sunburn but figured it will probably be one of the last opportunities to get some sun before the snow flies. Okay, I guess that's a little dramatic but nonetheless, our summer has gone by quickly and I suspect our busy fall will be the same way. Just a few things on the horizon...a trip to Cleveland for a wedding...a trip to Albany for work...a trip to Scranton to see Dave Matthews Band one final time this season(I hope it's not the final time) then we take a break for a few weeks but then in mid-October I have to figure out a way to get to Iowa for another wedding(Maureen and Matt's wedding...wouldn't miss it for the world). Looking forward to seeing all of my family! Enjoy whatever summer you all have left.

Yeah Thor! That looks like so much fun.. And Bungie is so freaking cute! You can totally bring him to Iowa if you get sick of him.. I heart him..

We did the football a couple of years ago, but the boys haven't been interested since! Can't wait to see you guys "in person"!!!!
